GIS Business Systems Analyst
CHAMPIAGN COUNTY GIS CONSORTIUM - GIS BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST
The Champaign County GIS Consortium is currently seeking a full-time GIS Business Systems Analyst. Under the direction of the GIS Director, the GIS Analyst is responsible for design, development, analysis and maintenance of GIS data. Other duties include the development of GIS data standards and policies, implementation of new GIS technologies, meeting facilitation, project management and the coordination of Consortium members and clients to meet established needs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Geography, GIS, Urban Planning or a related field preferred; Bachelor’s degree with related work experience acceptable
- Demonstrated ability to present information clearly and effectively in written, map and graphic formats
- Ability to construct advanced spatial and tabular database queries
- Expertise with advanced GIS spatial analysis
- Familiarity with ESRI GIS edit, topology, query and annotation tools
- Familiarity with demographic/economic data
- Familiarity with Python (ArcPy and other relevant libraries)
- Ability to manage time to meet deadlines
- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Excellent organizational, analytical, verbal and written skills
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists with development of work plans, reports, scopes of services, polices, etc.
- Assists Director with meeting facilitation and planning
- Creates data through interpretation from varied source data, complex queries and spatial data analysis
- Assists in the research, development and implementation of new GIS technologies
- Project management

Salary Range: $46,000 - $54,000 per year/ DOQ
