REGIS, an agency of the Grand Valley Metropolitan Council, seeks a candidate to fill the position of Senior GIS Analyst / Coordinator for the REGIS Agency.
Successful candidates will have in-depth knowledge of GIS concepts and methods and hands-on experience in the advanced GIS analysis and modeling; excellent communication skills; training experience; 3 years of GIS project management experience with local governments; and experience with ArcIMS and Oracle RDBMS. Knowledge of systems administration is highly preferred. Compensation at hire $63,956 - $68,753 DOQ plus benefits.
Responsibilities include various technical functions associated with GIS management, complex data analysis, cartography, user training, and research and presentation of GIS applications in multiple disciplines. Duties also include managing and delivering a multi-level user training program; providing support for advanced GIS applications; designing and maintaining spatial data layers and databases; and recommending workflows to create and maintain spatial data.
