We are seeking an individual to manage, process, maintain, and enable public access to remote sensing and related geospatial data, and ancillary information including, (a) airborne Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) point cloud data, (b) vector and raster LiDAR data derivatives, (c) digital orthoimagery, (d) metadata, (e) quality assurance and quality control measurements.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in geography, geology, or applicable discipline with 5 years related industry or research experience. Experience in processing and with scientific applications of remote sensing data, principally LiDAR and orthoimagery. Experience with ESRI ArcGIS software and knowledge of database, geospatial, and enhanced elevation data file formats. Prefer master’s degree in geography, geology, or applicable discipline with 2 years related industry or research experience as well as experience with electronic data stewardship including developing data management plans.
