Information Technology Director

 

The position of Information Technology (IT) Director is a highly skilled, responsible and professional department head level management position that provides IT management, planning, development and technical assistance for the Village of Pleasant Prairie. The IT Department provides computer application and network support for Village services such as Administration, Assessing, Community Development, Emergency Services, Finance, Human Resources, Inspections, Public Works, and Recreation. This is a “hands on” position with a wide range of technical roles and responsibilities. Reports directly to the Village Administrator.
Primary Responsibilities: 
Effectively manage and supervise activities within the IT Department.
Work closely with all Village Department Heads and provide IT support to ensure the success of all Village Departments.
Formulate and administer the IT department budget.
Perform complex, professional and economic analyses in the areas of information technology programming, staffing and applications. Providing the Village with expert opinions on new technologies that might become useful for performing Village business.
Requirements
Must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in an IT-related field with emphasis in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Management, or a closely related field from an accredited four-year college or university. A Master’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Management, or a closely related field is highly desirable.
Eight to ten (8-10) years of progressively responsible experience managing all aspects of system, network, site operations, including experience working directly with client server, multi-site infrastructure hardware/software, system development, and database techniques and practices.
A minimum of two (2) years with Director-level responsibilities for multiple staff/departments or commensurate proven experience and leadership, including establishing and monitoring internal performance metrics to evaluate staff performance. 
Salary Range: $$76,664 – 95,830
