Oakland County is seeking an experienced Systems Software Specialist to join our team. The customer base here is diverse, requiring the support of many unique business units. The technology is top notch, with the latest in servers, storage, server management systems, and high availability solutions.
The mixed Microsoft Windows, Linux, UNIEX and VMware server environment is as challenging as it is rewarding, and the opportunity for ongoing training and job satisfaction is exceptional. In this position the successful Systems Software Specialist candidate will share responsibility for all physical and virtual server administration tasks.
The System Software Specialist will work closely with internal customers on the configuration, maintenance, backup, restore, and upgrade of Windows Server, Linux Servers and VMware servers. Each member of the Server Administration team participates in a 24x7 on-call rotation of support duties.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
1. Must possess a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Data Processing or a closely related field.
2. Have had at least five (5) years of full time work experience in programming and/or systems analysis, including at least three (3) years of systems software experience.
Salary: $68,561 - $89,204
