The Department of Geography and Planning seeks applications for a GIScience Lab Supervisor. Duties will include: supervising computer equipment and labs (system and network administration, ArcSDE database development and maintenance), teaching one introductory geotechniques lab course per semester, collaborating with faculty and students on research and service projects, and supervising student lab workers.
A master’s degree in geography, planning, or related field is required (minimum of 18 graduate credits in geography or planning).
Position requires proven experience with GPS and ArcGIS. Experience with ArcPad, ERDAS Imagine, Microsoft system/network administration, ArcSDE, and relational database development with Oracle preferred.
Starting salary range: $38,000 to $40,000 per year. Starting date is July 1, 2009.
