Description:
Provide vision, leadership, technical expertise and supervision to an established team of experienced GIS programmers in the Enterprise GIS Services Division of the City of Austin's IT department.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
GIS application development using ESRI products (ArcSDE, ArcGIS 9.x, ArcGIS Engine, ArcObjects, ArcGIS Server). Database development using Oracle 9.x and above. SQL experience using C#.NET, VB.NET, ColdFusion, Java, JavaScript. Demonstrated success in managing GIS/IT projects (PMP certification preferred). Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in Information Science or in a field related to the job. Two (2) years related experience, two (2) of which were in a supervisory capacity.
Education or Experience may be substituted up to a maximum of four (4) years.
Salary: Commensurate
