Statement of Membership:
I have been in the geospatial profession for a very long time and have a desire and drive to continue to give back to this great profession. Being a part of URISA over the years has strengthened my desire to further progress our profession both on a local and international level. I have had the honor to sit in on a number of the Board meetings over the past few years and firmly believe that I can contribute in a number a ways to help the organization continue going in the direction that our past and present leaders have set.
Some highlights on the organization’s direction I see our leaders on the Board addressing in the coming years include:
• Growth - Increased individual memberships
- Increase services
- Increase exposure internationally
- Explore joint association memberships
- Explore providing specialized facilitation/coordination/management services to help build the geospatial industry
• Sponsorships - Increase corporate memberships

The skills and talent that I bring along with many years of experience in the industry include leadership, mentoring, team building, facilitation and conflict avoidance/management, along with a desire to balance the cost of providing services with the actual available funding sources.
