The URISA Journal—the geospatial field’s premier open-access, peer-reviewed publication—invites original manuscripts reporting innovative research and development projects related to higher education in Geographic Information Science and Technology (GIS&T – a.k.a. “geospatial”).
The special issue will include both full-length (~ 5,000 word) peer-reviewed articles and shorter (~ 500 word) desk-reviewed reports. It will be a sequel to the original 2003 URISA Journal “UCGIS special issue” (http://www.urisa.org/files/vol15no1.pdf). In contrast to the 2003 edition, the 2010 issue will highlight issues of concern to two-year higher education institutions–which serve nearly half of U.S. undergraduate students.
