About Charleston
One of the East Coast's most picturesque cities, Charleston is known for its antebellum row homes, its Civil War history, beautiful waterfront, nearby beaches and scrumptious Low Country cooking. Abundant shopping, nightlife and dining opportunities fill downtown, accommodating both students and tourists.
An old city that pulses with new energy, Charleston is a rare find. Natives take pride in her historic character and Southern refinement, imparting to visitors a contagious love for the "Holy City" that permeates travel, work and play.
"I can say without hesitation that this Conference is one of the most focused and productive interdisciplinary forums available. What makes it so opportunistic is the unique combination of professionals in attendance—ranging from GIS Managers & Analysts to Assessor/Appraiser Officials to CAMA-Statistical Specialists. Nowhere else will you find attendees any more dedicated than these. Quite simply, they come seeking out solutions to the collective policy and technology challenges facing the GIS and CAMA professions today."
