February 8-11, 2009
Charleston, South Carolina

The 13th Annual Conference for Professionals in Property Assessment, Tax Administration, Mapping and Information Technology

"The GIS & CAMA Conference attracts attendees, industry leaders and decision makers, anxious to understand technology that will allow them to accomplish more for less. We would never, ever miss exhibiting at this conference."

Marlene Jeffers, President
Yotta MVS (formerly Mobile Video Services)

The International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) and the Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (URISA) are pleased to announce the 13th Annual GIS/CAMA Technologies Conference, to be held February 8-11, 2009 in Charleston. This conference is designed to foster collaboration and integration of data, technology, and functionality.

This educational program attracts these professionals:

  • Assessors and Land Records Professionals who want to implement, improve or expand their use of information technology (specifically Geographic Information Systems [GIS] and Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal [CAMA]).
  • Managers of specific appraisal and assessment functions and Land Records technologies who are looking for new and improved IT applications.
  • IS Managers who either are in, or serve, assessment and Land Records departments.

Who should exhibit?

If you have a product or service that can be used by the assessment community, you should exhibit at this conference! Attendees want to meet with vendors who can offer them the products and services to make their appraisal process an effective, efficient and productive undertaking.

"GIS/CAMA conference sessions have proven to be a very valuable asset to my educational experience both personally and professionally. Professionally it has allowed me and others in my organization to hear “real-world” cases in the over-all integration of GIS and CAMA – listen to the good, the bad and the ugly, if you will. I feel by attending sessions – it has allowed us as a vendor to learn from our peers and from various camps on both sides of the integration process. Learning and listening have been valuable for our organization and I am grateful we have had the opportunity to learn at these conferences as well as 'spend time in the booth'."

C. David Hawker, Tyler Technologies - Eagle Division

About Charleston

One of the East Coast's most picturesque cities, Charleston is known for its antebellum row homes, its Civil War history, beautiful waterfront, nearby beaches and scrumptious Low Country cooking. Abundant shopping, nightlife and dining opportunities fill downtown, accommodating both students and tourists.

An old city that pulses with new energy, Charleston is a rare find. Natives take pride in her historic character and Southern refinement, imparting to visitors a contagious love for the "Holy City" that permeates travel, work and play.

"I can say without hesitation that this Conference is one of the most focused and productive interdisciplinary forums available. What makes it so opportunistic is the unique combination of professionals in attendance—ranging from GIS Managers & Analysts to Assessor/Appraiser Officials to CAMA-Statistical Specialists. Nowhere else will you find attendees any more dedicated than these. Quite simply, they come seeking out solutions to the collective policy and technology challenges facing the GIS and CAMA professions today."
