URISA has introduced a new pricing structure for the conference this year to help us meet our financial obligations to the conference hotel while keeping registration rates as low as possible.
Meeting the Room Block - Conference hotels work with associations like URISA to fill as many sleeping rooms as possible for the use of their meeting space and services. Our goal, of course, is to negotiate the best deal for URISA and its members with minimal risk. We have to guarantee that conference attendees will use a total number of sleeping rooms at the hotel and that the conference will spend an agreed-upon amount on food and beverage during the event. Our goal in the negotiations is also to receive the use of the hotel's meeting space on a complimentary basis (meeting room rental fees can be outrageous).
Note that if we do not fill our room block for the conference, URISA is penalized for nonperformance of the contract. This penalty can be quite substantial and would greatly impact the financial stability of the association. In order to avoid such penalties, we are doing everything we can to make it a bit more attractive to stay at the conference hotel and help to fill the room block. We realize that you have many options in the Orlando area, but we hope that you will consider staying at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek. The hotel will be the site of all conference activities and serves as the Networking Hub for discussions before and after hours.
Are you Local? We realize that if you live near Orlando, there is a good chance that you will commute to the conference each day. Please note that attendees who reside within a 50-mile radius of the conference site will also receive the discounted rate.
Registration Rates
If you are a URISA member and you are staying at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek (or are local), you will realize the most savings. Be sure to reserve your hotel room first and note your confirmation number to continue with registration.

URISA Member rate $395; Nonmember rate $475 - Without Hilton reservations and residing outside a 50 mile radius of Orlando:
URISA Member rate $520; Nonmember rate $600

Cancellation & Refund Policy: All cancellations must be received in writing at URISA Headquarters on or before September 1, 2010, in order to receive a refund, less a $100.00 processing fee and additional fee for workshop $25.00. No refunds after September 1, 2010.
