Governments everywhere are facing increasing pressure to reduce expenditures while increasing services. One response to this pressure has been to seek innovative partnerships to support GIS coordination and data development activities. This presentation will use examples of public/private partnerships and multi-level government partnerships that have achieved positive results for participants. Examples supporting orthophoto collection, regional critical facilities data aggregation, and GIS coordination efforts will be cited. The positive and negative attributes of each will be discussed.
