Gwinnett County, Georgia – Director of Information Technology Services

Gwinnett County is seeking a Director of Technology Services to support and advise the County Administrator, Board of Commissioners, County departments, and others as needed. The Director reports to the County Administrator through the Deputy County Administrator/CFO, supervises approximately 116 departmental staff, and manages an annual departmental operating budget of approximately $23.8 million. The Director plans, oversees, maintains, and provides the overall administration of the County’s information systems resources. 

As a senior management position, the Director is responsible for all departmental operations including strategic planning, ERP/CRM, technology infrastructure (network, desktop, voice/telephony, and servers), business systems, GIS, security, software management and installation, and oversight of the technology center.

Qualifications
 A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Management Information Systems, Computer Technology/Science, Business Administration or a closely related field is required, with a Master’s degree preferred.
Candidates should have at least ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in computer technology or telecommunications, to include an ERP environment. Experience with SAP preferred. Eight (8) years of experience must be in an upper Management Information Technology position; public sector experience is a plus.

Benefits
Starting salary range is between $135,000 and $145,000 commensurate with experience; the County offers an excellent benefits package.
