URISA has 26 Chapters located actross the country and in Canada. That means there are probably 26 different ways that the Chapter leadership is passed from one Chapter president to the next. I would like to hear from Chapters about their method of transitioning leadership when new leaders are elected.
Do you mentor the sucessor, or do you turn over the Chapter "box of stuff" and get out of the way?
How is institutional information about your chapter passed along? Oral tradition around the campfire, or written down and put in the Chapter "box of stuff?"
Do you think URISA Chapter leaders should also be URISA members in order to hold Chapter leadership positions? Why or why not?
Please respond here and let me know your thoughts.
