Just back from the 14th Annual GIS/CAMA Technologies Conference, IAAO and URISA's partnered event. It's always a good conference, but this year the attendees thought the educational content was better than ever. So congratulations to the program committee and thank you to all of the speakers who shared their knowledge!
The Social Event, on Wednesday night, was at the Clinton Presidential Center and Library in Little Rock. It was the first time I had ever been to a presidential library. It was really interesting. The exact replica of the Oval Office was smaller than I thought it would be. The sheer volume of documentation in the archives was astounding.
We all got to spend some time in the basement, which is usually not on the tour agenda. Tornado warning sirens went off a couple of times during the event. We were fine but there was some serious damage not far from downtown.
Of course planning for the 15th Annual GIS/CAMA Technologies Conference has already started. Thanks to all of the URISA and IAAO members involved!
