GIS ANALYST
SEDGWICK COUNTY, Kansas
The Sedgwick County, Kansas, Geographic Information Services (GIS) seeks an individual to perform highly technical tasks pertaining to the development and management of geographic data, maps and applications.
This key employee will be primarily responsible for: project management for data and application development projects; data management, geodatabase design, ArcSDE administration, workflow development, metadata development and data automation; application management, needs assessment, application design, development, implementation, documentation, and customer support and creation and maintenance of procedural documentation and training for department and user department staff.
These responsibilities require a knowledge of Cartography, cadastral mapping, Geographic Information Systems and associated information technologies; practical knowledge of ESRI software modules to include ArcGIS Desktop components (ArcMap, ArcCatalog, ArcToolbox, Model Builder), Workstation ArcInfo and Arc Macro Language, ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE, ArcIMS, and ArcPAD; working knowledge of common programming languages to include ASP, Javascript, HTML, CSS, XSLT, XML (including ArcXML), Python, ASP.net, Vb.net, TL-SQL; basic understanding of networking, client-server computing concepts, database management and design concepts; and knowledge of project management techniques and their application in a technical environment.
$43,959 - $64,253 per annum.
