NC State University is seeking a senior faculty member to co-lead its Center for Earth Observation (CEO) which houses the geospatial analytics research and teaching program.  The position is designed for a full professor who will head research teams focused on advanced remote sensing and geospatial modeling science, develop and teach graduate courses in advanced spatial analysis and remote sensing, co-lead the planning and implementation of a new graduate MS/Phd in geospatial analytics, assist with the recruitment of two new assistant/associate professor geospatial faculty, and co-dire

Responsibilites include input and editing of spatial and attribute data, conducting simple to complex spatial analysis, preparing maps using ArcView, ArcGIS or other GIS software. Work assignments are usually broad in scope and involve the use of good judgment and accuracy in making decisions.

Job Description
The Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) seeks a highly motivated, detail oriented GIS Specialist in the Office of Geographic Information System (GIS).

As GIS goes from being a silo technology in an organization to an integrated enterprise solution, there is a pressing need for cross training on the non-technical discuplines GIS staff is being asked to support.  Specifically, public safety (emergency management, police and fire services) and the ridged work flows which accompany their daily duties, often prove foreign to those unfamiliar with these specific disciplines.

The primary goal of the GIS Manager is to assist others in the company to present spatial data effectively. This requires researching, analyzing, and presenting spatial data. The GIS Manager must work efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast paced work environment.
