This integrative session will provide the perspective that GIS leaders often find themselves in the middle of GIS situations where they must determine how to move forward effectively. To help you bring it all together, topics covered include:
Strategic Planning for Program Realignment
- Understand how to use strategic planning tools throughout all phases of a program, including evaluating progress and changing direction.
Situation Assessment
- Ensure that you effectively get to the bottom of a problem and don’t get sidetracked.
Solving Problems and Taking Corrective Action
- Develop your course correction by developing an effective action plan and getting your project back on track.
What to do When Things Go Wrong
- Learn how to react to obstacles effectively and learn lessons from failures as well as successes.
Being Effective: Getting the Job Done and Communicating Success
