Vista Irrigation District (VID), an award winning governmental water district in N. San Diego County, seeks a GIS Systems Specialist. VID is an excellent employer with PERS retirement (3% @ 60), fully paid health, vision and dental insurance for employee and family, plus, a deferred compensation match program. A GIS Specialist performs journey-level services in developing and maintaining the GIS database, developing and implementing GIS applications, and is responsible for the District’s mapping services. Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science or a related field and at least two years of related work experience in GIS database analysis, design, and maintenance using ESRI software (ArcInfo/ArcEditor).
