  • The best value for registration is for URISA members who are staying at the conference hotel or who reside locally. Significant discounts are offered to URISA members.
  • All participants must read and abide by the URISA Event Code of Conduct to promote a respectful experience for all.
  • We know it can be challenging to gain approval to attend training and conferences. But we also know that organizations that invest in their employees' professional development benefit from  better retention and improved operations from knowledge gained.

Registration Fee Table (after September 23 or Onsite)

 Registration:

Note that all registrations must be paid in full before you receive your name badge and registration materials onsite.

Cancellation & Refund Policy: All cancellations must be received in writing at URISA Headquarters on or before August 31 in order to receive a refund, less a $100 processing fee (a $25 fee for cancelled workshop registrations). No refunds after August 31, 2019.

CHILD CARE:

IMPORTANT UPDATE (Sept 11, 2019): We had a childcare room and a dependable childcare service provider set up for the conference and unfortunately 4 of the 5 parents let us know this week that they are not bringing their children (which probably makes a lot of grandparents happy), so we will NOT have a childcare room this year.

Ehva (pictured to the right) will still be joining us and her mom is working directly with the childcare service provider to come to the hotel and watch Ehva while her mom is presenting and attending sessions. So we do have an option, if you still want to bring your little GIS professional to New Orleans!

Email Wendy for more information.

(Sorry, but the government block also sold out some time ago.)

  • The hotel rates shown above are final.  If you happen to receive an email or phone call from an outside organization about booking hotel rooms for GIS-Pro 2019, it is a SCAM. Please do not give your credit card information or make any reservations with any other housing bureau or convention housing appearing to represent URISA . These companies, often based out of Las Vegas go by names such as Exposition Housing, Expo Housing Group, Convention Housing, appear to offer lower rates for hotel rooms and are a scam. Do not respond. Rooms for the conference are only available through the Reservations Link above.

About New Orleans

Meetings in New Orleans, like everything else in this city, stay with you long after you’ve unpacked your conference materials. More than just meetings, they can be game-changing gatherings that inspire free-flowing ideas and forge deep connections.

At the next industry event you attend after coming here, you’ll find yourself telling the person beside you in the buffet line, “One time, in New Orleans …” And, chances are, they’ll counter back with their own New Orleans story – a tale of energetic collaboration, constructive disruption and reinvention of previously held norms.

We know how to get things rollin’ on the river. Recent innovation and a rich entrepreneurial ecosystem have earned the city the nickname, the Silicon Bayou. Plus, Inc.com has named us the "Coolest Start-up City in America,” and Forbes.com says we’re the No. 1 "biggest brain magnet.” Between the world-class food and electrifying music, we get down to business.

Here you don’t just get lanyards at the registration table – you get Mardi Gras beads. Meet and greets have a musical beat. Our culture is real and as rich as our andouille and crab gumbo.

Between sessions, put on your comfortable shoes and get ready to hit our cobble-stoned streets running. Get your fill of James Beard award-winning cuisine. Soak up our art, architecture and music. After the sun goes down, you can network into the night on Bourbon or Frenchmen streets. In this city, we get down to business then we get down. And don’t hesitate if your spouse or roommate wants to come along for the trip. It’s New Orleans. Like a po-boy, this city is better shared - and everyone is company when they're here.
